Days 9-12

Spent the weekend in Philadelphia and New York City!  It was my first time to the Big Apple and it was amazing!  It was easy to take pictures each day this weekend. :)

The Rockefeller Center.  We went to the top for an amazing view of the city!

Day 8

Our yard seems like a bird conservatory these days. The birds fly around everywhere in the evenings while I sit on my porch. So, today  I sat quietly and waited for one of the many robins for to show up. Inevitably they did, so I was able to get this one.

Day 7

It's hard to take a picture everyday, especially since my routine is the same day in and day out.  And since it doesn't vary much, I find myself looking at the same things all the time. So, I guess I'm going to have to get creative about what I take my pictures.  Today's photo is a purple flower growing in our flower box on our deck. I love this shade of purple...I also experimented with shutter speeds today just to see how it affected the lighting.
I think it turned out pretty good.

Days 4-6

Ok, I have to do some catching up.  Taking a picture everyday is harder than I thought it would be.  I have a few ideas for the theme of the week of "in the blink of an eye."

So here we go. This first one is my son breaking a board in Tae Kwon Do for his yellow belt test.  It happens so fast that I'm glad I got it.

This one, of my son, again just shows me how fast kids grow up. It truly
happens in a blink of an eye.

This next one doesn't really fit the theme, just wanted I wanted to take today.  We have this very colorful kite that's been hard to fly.  The sky is the perfect blue and the colors against it just really pop!  Makes me happy.

Day 3

So, it POURED rain here and after the rain the weather was perfect so my son and I went on a walk.  The scents in the air were amazing, especially the honeysuckle.  The water was running in the creek so it just felt like walking through a tropical rainforest.  There is a tunnel of trees that are on our path.  Everything was so green and lush...just gorgeous.  Unfortunately, this shot doesn't do it justice since it was taken with my iphone.

Day 2- 365 day Photo project

This is Tater Tot. He's not even a year old, but he's our Lion Kitty.   I wasn't much of a cat person until we got him and our other kitten Mr. Nibbles.   I love this picture because it shows off the cool color of his eyes.

My first photo for the 365 day photo project

I'm adding this particular photo as my first because the baby birds that you see here are gone.  I came out to check on them this morning and the nest was empty.  I've watched them from eggs to feathers, so it's kind of sad to have them move on, but I'm glad that they are charging into life and strengthening their wings.  Seems like we should all do that at some point...take the leap from the nest to strengthen our wings!
